Škoda Auto produces 500,000th Škoda Octavia
On 20 April 2007, the Škoda Auto plant in Mladá Boleslav produced the 500,000th Škoda Octavia, Škoda Auto's best-selling model line at the moment.
The 500,000th car is a silver Octavia RS 2.0 TFSI (147kW) The very first vehicle was an Octavia produced on 3 Feb. 2004 in Vrchlabí. The new-generation Škoda Octavia was launched in the spring of 2004. The Octavia Combi and Octavia Combi 4x4 followed in the autumn of the same year, in 2005 the model portfolio was extended with the Škoda Octavia RS and Škoda Octavia Combi RS, two “family sports cars”. This year Škoda has extended the Octavia line with the leisure-time Octavia Scout.
